Campus Life is the center for co-curricular engagement where students make their mark, pursue interests, develop passions, cultivate their leadership capacity, and nurture affinity for Quinnipiac.. Our department empowers students to take ownership of their educational journey. We create spaces where students develop as healthy leaders, competitors, citizens, and critical thinkers who are prepared to lead change in our global society. Our collaborative co-curricular approach engages members of the Quinnipiac community in experiential learning, recreational opportunities, comprehensive campus-wide programming, spiritual and religious well-being, high-impact service projects, and dynamic leadership ventures. Getting involved on campus is one of the most effective ways to transform a standard college education into a career-defining experience. Joining student organizations, taking on leadership roles, or participating in campus activities helps students build a vibrant community, develop critical power skills like project management and communication, and maintain personal well-being amidst academic pressures. Out-of-classroom experiences bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical application, making sure our students graduate fully prepared for leadership in their fields. Additionally, extensive research by Gallup and the Strada Education Network shows that undergraduates who are actively involved in extracurricular activities and experiential learning are more than twice as likely to feel confident they will graduate with the skills needed to succeed in the job market. According to data from the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) and the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), strong campus engagement indicator scores correspond to up to a 10 to 14 percentage point increase in student retention probability. Lastly, landmark research from the Gallup Index reveals that college graduates who were deeply involved in campus organizations and extra-curriculars during school are twice as likely to be engaged in their work later in life and thrive in overall post-college well-being compared to their unengaged peers.
